Sustainability
Sustainability means developing in ways that reduce the depletion of natural resources and CC-House is proud to contribute to that goal. We do this by collecting and reusing older, discarded notebooks, computers, and computer parts.
Each device is carefully examined, cleaned, and, if needed, repaired by our in-house technical team. After that, they are reinstalled and thoroughly tested to ensure reliable operation.
Only when they meet our standards are these refurbished notebooks and computers offered for sale again at reduced prices in our store, giving them a second life and helping reduce electronic waste.
Upgrading older notebooks/PCs
We often hear from customers that their older notebook or PC is “just not keeping up anymore,” and they come to us asking what a new computer would cost.
Before recommending a replacement, we always look together at whether the current system can be given a new lease on life through an upgrade.
In many cases, simply replacing the old SATA hard drive with a faster SSD, combined with a memory (RAM) upgrade, is enough to restore good performance and speed.
By upgrading existing computers, we work together to extend the lifespan of the device by several more years, saving money and supporting sustainability.
Separation of materials
Only when a computer or notebook no longer meets today’s technical standards or is beyond economical repair, do we move to the final phase of its lifecycle.
First, we salvage any usable components that can still serve in the repair of other devices — such as processors, memory modules, video cards, DVD drives, and more.
Next, the remaining parts are carefully separated by material type: plastic, metal, aluminum, copper, batteries, and components containing precious metals.
These separated materials are then offered individually for recycling, ensuring that as much as possible is reused and kept out of the waste stream, supporting a cleaner, more sustainable environment.
